Shotton is a town lying on the banks of the Dee Estuary, in north east Flintshire and is next to the towns of Queensferry and Connahs Quay. The town has a population of around 6300 people.

There are a number of shops and supermarkets in Shotton. There is an established community with a number of clubs and societies. There are two primary schools in the town and a high school nearby.
