Area profile

Broughton and Bretton are two neighbouring villages, close to the English border in Flintshire. Broughton is the bigger of the two villages and both have a total population of nearly 6000 people. Broughton is well known for the British Airbus factory and it's retail shopping park.

There are a number of facilities, services, shops and pubs in the area. A local primary school serves the two areas and there is a high school 2 miles away in Saltney. The two villages have a strong active community and as a consequence, there are a number of clubs and groups.

Large parts of the two villages the houses are home ownership, with only a small amount of council accommodation and the waiting list can be lengthy due to the popularity. There may some opportunities with private rented accommodation
